Memorial Day 2009

I took lots of pictures of the Memorial Day festivities, and I’m just now getting a chance to post a few of them!

This gazebo sits in Tuttle Park as you enter the small town where I grew up.  It was my parents’ idea and was built during our Sesquicentennial celebration (when Leslie turned 150 years old) in 1986.

There were plenty of fire trucks, tractors, bikes and horses in the parade.

And what northern(???) city’s parade would be complete without the General Lee?

Of course, we finished the day with a picnic at my grandparents’ house in Stockbridge, and then headed back home.

What a great day!
